2017 marked a high point of our Mobile Wallet product offering. Not only had it gained significant traction in the market, but we had signed a large national retailer that was leveraging the service at scale. However, the influx of requests for wallet began to deteriorate bandwidth much quicker than anticipated. One of the first friction points that was identified was the current platform interface for building wallet.
The two major objectives in this initiative was to create an interface that gave users the ability to preview the wallet objects they were building and streamline the navigation and page load time. We addressed both issues by utilizing a side accordion navigation and variable page state. This not only cut down page load time (since the page no longer needs to load) but it allows us to keep the phone screen emulator in front of the user thought out the experience.
